Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 2026  |  TackHost (tackhost.com)  |  Operated from Cairo, Egypt

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the web hosting, domain, email, and related services provided by TackHost ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, placing an order, or using any TackHost service, you ("you", "the Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. If you need help understanding anything here, visit our Knowledge Base or contact support.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TackHost services you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or guardian), that the information you provide is accurate, and that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Services

TackHost provides web hosting (Custom and cPanel shared hosting), domain registration and transfer, email hosting, SSL certificates, automated backups, and technical support. Plan inclusions, resources, and pricing are described on our pricing pages and on your invoice. We may add, modify, or discontinue features to improve the service, with reasonable notice where a change is material.

3. Account Registration & Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration and billing information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account, control panel, and email credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected security breach.
  • One account may not be shared for the purpose of reselling hosting unless you are on an approved reseller arrangement.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use TackHost services to host, transmit, or link to any content or activity that:

  • Is illegal under Egyptian or applicable international law, or infringes intellectual-property rights.
  • Distributes malware, phishing pages, or facilitates unauthorized access to systems.
  • Sends spam or unsolicited bulk email, or violates anti-spam regulations.
  • Hosts content involving fraud, child exploitation, hate speech, or incitement to violence.
  • Runs cryptocurrency mining, public proxies/VPNs, torrent trackers, or high-abuse scripts on shared hosting.
  • Attempts to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our network or other customers' accounts.

We may remove infringing content and suspend accounts that violate this policy, with or without prior notice depending on severity.

5. Fair Use of Resources

Shared hosting plans operate on shared infrastructure with per-account resource limits (CPU, RAM, I/O, processes, and inodes). "Unlimited" bandwidth and storage are subject to fair use: they are intended for normal website operation, not for file storage, backups of external systems, or media distribution. If an account's usage degrades service for others, we may apply throttling, request optimization, or recommend an upgrade to a higher plan or a VPS.

6. Payment, Billing & Renewals

  • Prices are shown in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) unless stated otherwise; applicable taxes may be added.
  • Hosting is billed monthly or annually in advance. Renewal invoices are generated automatically before the due date.
  • We accept InstaPay bank transfers and Kashier (cards, mobile wallets, and Fawry). Card and wallet payments confirm automatically.
  • Services are suspended after 7 days of non-payment and may be terminated after a further grace period. Reactivation is immediate once outstanding invoices are paid.

7. Refunds & Money-Back Guarantee

  • New shared hosting orders include a 14-day money-back guarantee on the hosting fee.
  • Domain registrations/transfers, SSL purchases, and add-on services are non-refundable once provisioned, as they incur third-party registry costs.
  • Renewals, and accounts terminated for Acceptable Use violations, are not eligible for refunds.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible.

8. Uptime & Service Levels

We target 99.9% network uptime, monitored 24/7. Scheduled maintenance, third-party failures (e.g. upstream networks or registries), DDoS attacks, and circumstances beyond our reasonable control are excluded from uptime calculations. Where a sustained outage is caused solely by us, you may request a service credit by opening a ticket.

9. Backups & Data Responsibility

TackHost performs automated weekly server backups as a courtesy and operational safeguard. These backups are not a substitute for your own backups. You are responsible for maintaining independent copies of your data. We are not liable for data loss, and backup restoration is provided on a best-effort basis.

10. Domain Registrations

Domain registrations and transfers are subject to the policies of the relevant registry and our registrar partner (Spaceship), including ICANN rules where applicable. You are responsible for keeping domain contact details accurate and for renewing domains before expiry. Domain fees are non-refundable once a registration or transfer is initiated.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, violation of these Terms, or activity that threatens the security or stability of our network. You may cancel any service at any time from your client area; cancellation stops future renewals and does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid except as set out in Section 7. Upon termination, account data may be permanently deleted.

12. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect and process personal data only as needed to provide and bill for our services, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data. You retain ownership of the content you host with us.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TackHost's total liability for any claim arising from the services is limited to the amount you paid for the affected service in the three (3) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, even if advised of the possibility.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TackHost harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you host, your use of the services, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice in your client area. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.
