Connect Claude to your TackHost account
This takes about two minutes. You need a Claude account (the free one works) and your TackHost login.
1. Open your connector page
Sign in at my.tackhost.com and click AI Connect in the menu.
2. Copy your connection address
The page shows your connection address:
https://mcp.tackhost.com/mcp
3. Add it in Claude
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the address and save.
4. Approve the connection
Claude will send you to a TackHost approval screen. It shows:
- which of your websites the connection covers, by name
- what the AI will be allowed to do, in plain language
Choose the permission level you want, then approve. If anything on that screen looks wrong, close it - nothing is granted until you press approve.
5. Try it
Ask Claude:
List my websites
You should see your own sites come back. If you do, you are connected.
ChatGPT and other assistants
AI Connect is built on an open standard called MCP, not on anything specific to Claude. Any assistant that supports MCP connectors can use the same address and will get the same TackHost approval screen.
ChatGPT supports MCP connectors. Look for Connectors in its settings and add the address above as a custom connector. The exact menu has changed more than once, so if you cannot find it, search ChatGPT's own help for "MCP connector".
We test every release against Claude. If you connect a different assistant and something does not behave, open a ticket and tell us which one - that is genuinely useful to us, and we will help you get it working.
If something does not work
- Claude says it has no access - the approval screen was probably closed before finishing. Start again from step 3.
- A tool you expected is missing - that is the permission level, not a fault. Tools you have not granted are hidden rather than shown and refused. Reconnect at a higher level.
- Still stuck - open a ticket and we will look at the connection from our side.
